About Us
Who are We?

At Street Food Munchies, we bring the vibrant flavors of New Orleans to Baton Rouge with a menu that blends tradition, creativity, and heart. Founded by Lataoya Jett, who began her culinary journey at the age of 10 in her mother’s kitchen, our story is rooted in resilience and passion. From our humble beginnings as a food truck in Zachary to our kiosk at the Mall of Louisiana, and now to our first brick-and-mortar location on Florida Boulevard, we’ve remained committed to serving bold, flavorful dishes inspired by the Big Easy.
Our restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a space for community, celebration, and good times. With signature dishes like Yakamein, gumbo, loaded pastas, and our New Orleans-style Loaded Salad, we invite you to experience the rich culinary traditions that shaped us. Whether you’re stopping by for a weekday lunch special, hosting an event, or enjoying live karaoke, our mission is to deliver “Good Food, Good Friends, Good Times.” Come taste the soul of New Orleans right here in Baton Rouge!

So we had ordered the Yakamein beef and shrimp, the other just beef, a jazzy punch and it was decent. How it’s advertised on the Revi app there is 1 whole boiled egg cut in half and spaghetti noodles in the picture but we had flat noodles and half of a boiled egg (so one side of the egg, not a whole egg). The egg was overcooked, the broth was okay, the beef and the shrimp was cooked well and the jazzy punch was sweet and pretty good to me. Overall 7 out of 10!

The atmosphere was great. They welcomed me when I walked through the door. I ordered the New Orleans Yakamein and it was amazing. It had that New Orleans spice and flavor. Their Nola Punch is really good. My son his choice of the Bourbon pasta. It was a great meal to end my night with. I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of it because after one bite I was hooked. I do have a menu attached.
